Well, the truth is, there isn't really a pickle season. Some might say it's in fall as people are frantically trying to get the remainder of their summer gardens preserved for the winter. But we like to think that spring is the time when people start having picnics and BBQ's to celebrate the end of winter and welcome back the warm days. And what better for your picnic table than fresh crisp pickles?!
For this month's Pickle Club we've chosen some of our favorite fresh and crunchy snacks. Both club levels will receive the very exciting duo that is two of our classic flavors Asparagusto! and ¡Ay Cukarambas! We know it's springtime here at Pacific Pickle Works when fresh California asparagus comes into season. We have been busy making truckloads of Asparagusto! and are ready to share it with you. Pickled in our signature West Coast style brine with a little spice, they are perfect to snack right out of the jar, to garnish up a Bloody Mary or to chop up and throw on a salad. They are sure to excite and amaze!
¡Ay Cukarambas! - our crunchy, spicy West Coast take on a classic dill pickle. These pickle spears with a kick are perfect as a side snack to any sandwich (we are partial to BLT's) or are refreshing as snack right out of the jar on a hot day. Kick up any salad dressing with a splash of the brine or reuse the leftover brine to quick pickle one of your own favorite vegetables in our West Coast style! Or for the hardcore types, save the pickle juice for doing Picklebacks!
This month's Big Dill club shipment has a throwback to the 2016 sofi™ award-winning Brussizzle Sprouts. These semi-tangy and unique sprouts picked up a Gold sofi™ in one of the specialty food industry's most illustrious and unique competitions. These tasty morsels are wonderful on a cheese board or chopped up on a fresh salad.
